Conservation Rebate Program

How to Get Paid for Saving Water

The Denver Water Department has announced a Conservation Rebate Incentive Program for Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District customers who replace water guzzling fixtures and equipment with water efficient models.  This program offers cash rebates for purchasing and installing high efficiency or low flow toilets, high efficiency clothes washers, and certain types of irrigation equipment.  Only those items purchased beginning January 1, 2010 and throughout 2010, with an accompanying original sales receipt, will be eligible for the rebate program.

The program offers a $125 rebate for each older model toilet replaced with a certified high efficiency toilet (dual flush or pressure-assist).  The rebate is limited a maximum of three toilets per household.

A $150 rebate is being offered to customers who replace a traditional top loading clothes washer with a horizontal axis/front loading washer.  The rebate is limited to one washer per household.

For the installation of an Evaportranspiration (ET) irrigation controller Denver Water is offering a rebae of 25% of purchase price (one per account) and a $25 rebate (one per account) for installing rain sensors that connect to an automatic, in-ground irrigation system.

Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District customers are encouraged to take advantage of this money saving opportunity.  The rebate program not only allows you to save money on equipment purchases, but will reward you with lower water bills in the future.

Rebate applications can be submitted directly to the Denver Water Department at MC 330, 1600 W. 12th Ave., Denver, CO 80204. You do not need to mail your application to Platte Canyon/Southwest Metro (your water provider) as it says on the form. All rebate applications must be postmarked by U.S. Mail within 90 days of the purchase date.
