    Denver Water placed first in a taste test for water utilities in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming at the American Water Works Association Rocky Mountain Section’s (RMSAWWA) annual conference in Colorado Springs.
    Thirteen utilities submitted samples for tasting and a panel of five judges that included news media and water taste test professionals rated Denver Water number one based on appearance, smell, taste and overall impression.
    “Denver Water’s mission is to provide our customers with high-quality water and excellent service,” said Ken Pollock, superintendent of water treatment for Denver Water. “There was some stiff competition and we’re honored to come out on top. It’s a reflection of the hard work and dedication that Denver Water employees put into doing their jobs.”

    • Aurora Water
    • City of Pueblo
    • Centennial Water & Sanitation District
    • City of Boulder
    • City of Loveland (placed third)
    • Colorado Springs Utilities
    • Donala Water & Sanitation District
    • Parker Water & Sanitation District
    • Raton New Mexico Water Works
    • Sangre de Cristo Water Division in Santa Fe, NM
    • South Adams County
    • Tri-County Water Conservancy District in Montrose (placed second)
    Denver Water will represent RMSAWWA in the national competition at the AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition Best of the Best Taste Test in San Diego next year.
