  1. 1/25/2013 WATER CONSERVATION REBATE PROGRAM CONTINUES IN 2013
  2. Denver Water Department's Residential Rebate Program for Platte Canyon customers who replace water guzzling fixtures and equipment with water efficient models will continue throughout this year.

Customers should check rebate details before making purchases.  Not all toilets or clothes washers qualify for a rebate, but all “WaterSense” labeled toilets are covered.

Denver Water’s rebate program is designed to encourage customers to save water by changing out their fixtures and appliances.  Toilets and clothes washers are the two largest uses of water inside a home.  A high-efficiency toilet uses 1.28 gallons per flush or less.  High-efficiency clothes washers eligible for rebates can use as little as 12 gallons of water per load.  A study done in metro Denver showed that the average residential toilet used 3.1 gallons per flush and the average clothes washer used 38 gallons of water per load.
