  2. NATIONAL TAKE BACK INITIATIVE

    September 27, 2014
    10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

DEA has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. to provide a venue for persons who want to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs.  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.

    HELP KEEP YOUR WATER CLEAN!

Take part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day by disposing of your unwanted or unused medication responsibly. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, drop off your pharmaceuticals at a local collection site (click the Got Drugs banner above for a site near you).

Properly disposing of medications, rather than flushing them down a toilet or throwing them away, will help keep pharmaceuticals out of your drinking water.

The impact of pharmaceuticals in drinking water on humans is still unclear. While Denver Water and Platte Canyon strive to deliver the highest quality water, you can do your part to dispose of unused medicine in a responsible manner.
