  1. 8/10/2007 W. CHESTNUT AVE. SEWER MAIN REHABILITATION PROJECT COMPLETED UNDER A NEW ANNUAL CONTRACT
  2. On March 23, 2007 The Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District Board of Directors authorized an annual contract with Wildcat Civil Services, LLC to perform cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) sewer lining services on an “as authorized” basis.

In past years separate contracts and engineering plans and specifications were prepared for each CIPP project no matter the project size. Rather than prepare these documents for the small projects scheduled to be rehabilitated in 2007, District staff proposed issuance of a single contract for all CIPP projects to be awarded during the calendar year. ENS Consulting, LLC (the District’s engineering contractor) prepared specifications and contract documents that would enable the District to issue individual project authorizations on an as needed basis at specified unit prices. Bids for the annual contract were received from three qualified bidders and as a result Wildcat Civil Services was awarded the annual contract by submitting the lowest bid for the three project scenarios requested.

Under the auspices of this annual contract the first CIPP project completed was W. Chestnut Ave. Sewer Main Rehabilitation (CIP 07-1S) in the Columbine Hills Subdivision. A map showing the location of this project can be viewed here. This project consisted of rehabilitating 180 feet of vitrified clay sewer pipe in W. Chestnut Ave. using the cured-in-place rehabilitation method.

Work on this project was completed on May 15, 2007 at a cost of $9,936.00.
